Platinum Silicone
Platinum Silicone is, for good reason, an ideal material choice for high-quality, flexible, adult toys; however, as with almost every material, its strengths are accompanied by weaknesses. Similar to skin, it's vulnerable to cuts, punctures, tears, and abrasive surfaces, yet it's resistant to extreme temperatures and temperature changes, blunt damage, and deformation. Hypoallergenic, non-leaching, and skin-safe, platinum silicone stands apart from lower-quality materials, providing you peace-of-mind - knowing your physical and mental well-being are not at risk when using this material.

The non-porous environment provided by silicone prevents the accumulation of bacteria within the product while providing a surface that encourages easy removal of surface debris and bacteria

Being highly inert, platinum silicone does not react easily with many chemicals, bodily or otherwise.
Weaknesses
The following are vulnerabilities that can potentially jeopardize the integrity of our products:
Slashing
Like skin, silicone is vulnerable to sharp objects like blades and fingernails.
Tearing
Tears are generally exacerbated scratches that could result in the complete removal of functionality.
Piercing
Teeth and other sharp objects can pierce the product creating an environment for bacteria to grow.
Abrasion
Abrasive surfaces can cause micro-scratches and tears - altering the appearance of the product and causing rough or unsightly scuffing on your toy.
Silicone Lubricants
Silicone-based lubricants can permanently damage the surface of your toy - do not use them with or near our products. We've tested some hybrid silicone/water lubricants and have not seen any issues. Use at your own risk.
Maintaining Your Toy
Before using your new toy, it is essential to clean it thoroughly to remove any potential contaminants. This includes bacteria, allergens, or debris that may have accumulated during the fullfillment process.

Soap and Water
Always use scent-free hand soap, specifically those free of dyes and perfumes, along with warm water. Thoroughly rinse the toy before and after each use to eliminate any harmful bacteria or debris.
Boiling in Water
For a more thorough clean, and disinfectant, you can boil the toy in water for approximately 10 minutes. Don't worry, like silicone cooking utensils, your toy will not be damaged. Avoid boiling any mixture that contains bleach, as this can be harmful to you and other inhabitants.
Bleach Water Mixture
Alternatively, you can soak the toy in a mixture of bleach and water with a ratio of 1:10 (one part bleach to ten parts water). This is a great way to remove even the toughest of smells. Ensure you do not boil this mixture. After soaking, use soap and water to thoroughly rinse the toy off before drying.
Dishwasher
For an easy, deep clean run your toys through a soapy, high-heat dishwasher cycle. This will effectively disinfect and remove stubborn odors. One of the easiest and most effective methods of toy cleaning. Don't worry - your toy will hold up to the extreme temperatures.
Drying
After washing the toy with any type of detergent or cleaning solution, rinse it well with warm water. Pat dry the toy using a clean cotton or microfiber towel.
Storage
Do not store OwOToyz in contact with toys from other manufacturers. In the case other manufacturers toys release harmful chemicals, it is essential you find and remove that toy from your collection - for your safety, we do not recommend using toys that have been in contact with released chemicals from other toys.

Limit the possibility of diminishing the integrity of the product by storing them away from items that may exploit platinum silicone's vulnerabilities (mentioned above). We suggest wrapping them in a clean cotton or microfiber towel and storing them in a drawer under clean clothes or in a toy chest - separated from other toys.
